Welcome!
Hello and welcome, everyone, to my blog! I am Smit Kotadiya, a boy belonging to a small town with big dreams!
I dedicate this website to my parents, grandparents, family, and friends!
Why am I doing this?
I am a student from a peripheral college who started the USMLE journey on my own, without any alumni. I have worked hard for almost 6-7 months, emailing NMC/MCI, running between the dean's office and the professor's office, sending emails to education ministries, and coordinating between ECFMG and my college. I did all of this to get our college-sponsored note after struggling for almost 1.5 years (without sponsorship from ECFMG, students from that college cannot give USMLE examinations). At the same time, I do appreciate support from my medical school, seniors, and friends who helped along this journey.
I know how challenging it is to prepare for this pathway without any mentors/alumni. At that time, in my third year of medical school, I did not have the privilege of asking any seniors to give me electives or observerships. I did search for everything myself, and I know the struggle without any privilege. I applied for my visitor visa on my own without any agents, and everything else I did pretty much on my own by gathering information.
Thatβs my purpose: to help you all through my experience. And as a child of a farmer and a teacher, I learned that helping others and sharing knowledge were duties rather than just jobs, which is why I am committed to providing all of you with free advice on whatever I know.
Letβs keep everyone in the loop and help each other selflessly. Keep spreading kindness wherever you go.
Wishing you all the best for the future!
Thank you God and Universe for all the energy. π
